Well, here it is. As of 9/18/2025, my entire sample collection. This is mostly chopped and looped and ready to use beats and music for production. There's also drum kits, vocal samples, musical notes, chants, movie clips and more. I tried to make it as complrehensive for me and what I do as possible. It's 60+ GB of material, give or take. Hundreds of thousands of files. Nearly everything .wav format. I have been collecting samples since the mid 1990's and this is what I almost exclusively make my music out of. Here's as brief a sumamry as I could make: - Drum Loops - beats and breaks to be chopped or used as loops for drum tracks - Beatbox - pretty self explanatory - "Boombap," "Funky" and "Electro" - specific styles of drums - can be subjective but for me, these descriptions work - Just Add Drums - flavor and textured drums loops - maybe just a high-hat or some bongos - "Kick Snare" and "Rolls" - self explanatory - Loops - Loops of music, for you to chop, rearrange and layer into your production - sorted by dominant instrument - "full" means there are probably drums on it - Electronic - self explanatory - Jazzmatazz - back-pack type music - dusty stuff you might hear DJ Premier or Pete Rock use - "Phonky" and "Sad" - funkier or sadder music, respectively - "Cymbals," "Hats, " Kicks," "Snares," and "Toms" - All of these are the basic drum kits used as one-shots for programming a beat - "Heartbeats" are very deep kick drums, mostly electronic - think 808 or lower - "Knocks" are really thick snare hits - "Clap n Snap" are handclaps and finger snapes - clap hits start with the letter "C" and snaps with "S" - Misc Percussion - all sorts of other types of drum hits - some exotic, some not - "Vinyl" is scratching for drums, backspins, vinyl record crackles, and line noise - Notes - one shots of musical notes, broken into instrument - Songs - weird little vignettes used to add something extra and live to places, or just odd sounds for breakdowns, intros, outros, etc. - Sounds - actual sound effects - animal sounds, vehicles, burps, farts - you get the idea - Crash Bang Boom - explosions, gun shots, fist-fight slaps, etc. - Potpouri - bones breaking, glass shattering, splashes, squeezing, martial arts, water streams, clowns and so much more - Rumbles - sound beds and background noises like factories, outer space, machinery, etc. - Stabs - horn stabs, mainly one note but sometimes not - Voice - this could be a whole thing in an of itself - all I can say is that most files are named after the words spoken in them - ! drops - probably the least useful directory on here - these are for mixes or things liek that and mainly feature me, or performers I work with - you will hear both "E_B_A" (my old stage name) and "SATIRE" (my current stage name) a lot FAQ: Q: Are these free? A: Yes. No e-mail signup list or credit card required. Just right-click and save. Download managers are your friend. CTRL-F helps search through a directory. No strings attached. Take what you want. You don't even need to credit me. Q: Okay! neat, but why? A: Because, in addition to making music, I feel it is important for other people to find and use stuff to make their own music with. Q: How high res are these? A: No idea. My default settings are: - 44100 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo But I have been gathering this collection since the mid 1990's. Who knows? Your results may vary. And if I felt there was no need to save a sample in stereo or with good fidelity, I didn't. You will find this especially true of the "Voice" samples. Q: Will you make a beat for me? A: Uh... no. Make your own beats, you lazy good-for-nothing. That's why this is here. So you can do exactly that. If you want music I have already made using these samples, just go here: http://www.bangyard.com/music/ Q: How often will you update these? A: Probably never. Maybe a yearly thing if I feel taxed to do so. I don't rightly know. Probably never, though. What you have here is certainly enough to keep you busy for decades. I will say, these are living directories. I add new material to them and reorganize stuff EVERY DAY. I can't possibly upload stuff as I add new material. That'd be a full-time job in and of itself. Q: If I use these, do they require me to credit you? A: Nah. If you want, drop a link to bangyard.com, but you don't have to. Just keep in mind that most of the big services (YouTube, CD Baby, etc.) use AI to find sampled material and flag it. Q: What if I make money off something I used here? A: Spend it! Don't worry about me. I'm fine. Q: Did you make all of these? A: In a strange kind of way, yeah. It's complicated. I did do lots of chopping, filtering, editing and otherwise tinkering to make things work to at least my standards, which are very, VERY low. You might be able to get a better sound out of them yourself. Q: Are you insane? A: Probably.
